Czech English
Study Guide: The Anatomy of a Day

Routines, Hygiene, and Maintenance

This vocabulary list is designed for the A2 learner who needs to describe their schedule and home life. It emphasizes the aspect pairs that are fundamental to Czech verb logic.

Morning & Evening:

Learn verbs in pairs: vstávat/vstát, oblékat se/obléknout se. This allows you to talk about what you do every day vs. what happened this morning.

In the Home:

Master the tools of the trade: žehlička, vysavač, and prací prášek. You'll also learn the synonymous luxovat and vysávat for vacuuming.

The HáCZech Learning Path:

  • Step 1: Memorize the bathroom nouns (mýdlo, šampon, pasta) for your shopping list.
  • Step 2: Practice the reflexive verbs (verbs with se/si) as they dominate routine descriptions.
  • Step 3: Finalize this module with the 🧠 Practice and 📝 Test links.
