Training Guide: Habits vs. Actions
Active Recall: The Cycle of the Day
To speak Czech naturally, you must distinguish between what you do usually (Imperfective) and what you did at a specific time (Perfective).
Reflexive Verbs:
Many routine verbs are reflexive (using se or si). Remember: mýt se means washing your body, while mýt si zuby means washing "for yourself" a specific part (your teeth).
Household Tools:
Match the tool to the action: vysavač (the machine) is used for vysávat (the action). Žehlička is for žehlit.
Optimization Strategy:
- ✔ Step 1: Focus on the morning flow: budit se → vstávat → mýt se → oblékat se.
- ✔ Step 2: Note the irregular aspect change in uklízet (repeatedly) vs. uklidit (once/finished).
- ✔ Step 3: Once you can describe your Saturday cleaning spree, go to the 📝 Test.
