This module focuses on the language of transactions. You will learn to find the right shop, pick the correct size of clothing, and handle errands at the pošta or banka.
Pharmacy vs. Drugstore:
In Czechia, a lékárna is for medicine and prescriptions (recept). A drogerie is for hygiene, makeup, and cleaning supplies. Don't mix them up!
Money & Payments:
When paying, you'll be asked: "Kartou, nebo hotově?" (By card or in cash?). Remember to ask for the účtenka (receipt) if you need to vyměnit (exchange) an item.
Optimization Strategy:
- ✔ Step 1: Group clothing items by where you wear them (e.g., čepice, šála, rukavice for winter).
- ✔ Step 2: Master the verb pairs: kupovat/koupit and prodávat/prodat.
- ✔ Step 3: Use the 📝 Test once you feel confident withdrawing money from a bankomat.
