Training Guide: Managing Your Health in Czech

Active Recall: Symptoms and Anatomy

In Czech, describing pain uses the verb bolet. It’s important to remember that the body part is the subject: Bolí mě hlava (The head hurts me).

Common Ailments:

Learn to distinguish between rýma (runny nose), kašel (cough), and horečka (fever). These are the pillars of a viróza.

At the Doctor:

Understand the difference between ordinace (the doctor's office/practice) and čekárna (waiting room). You go there for a vyšetření.

Optimization Strategy:

  • Step 1: Memorize external body parts (hlava, ruka, noha) before moving to internal ones (srdce, žaludek).
  • Step 2: Master verbs of action: brát léky (take medicine) and změřit tlak (measure pressure).
  • Step 3: Once you can explain an úraz (injury), move to the 📝 Test.
